CoVadem is an initiative of MARIN, Deltares, Autena Marine and Bureau Telematica Binnenvaart. We also work with a growing community that supports us financially and in terms of content. This group includes market parties such as Danser Containerline, ThyssenKrupp Veerhaven, Heuvelman Groep, NPRC, Shipping Factory and around 200 individual inland shipping entrepreneurs. CoVadem also works together with parties such as the Port of Rotterdam, Port of Switzerland, TKI Dinalog, TU Delft, Rijkswaterstaat, BLN and CBRB.
Our Mission
The founding partners of CoVadem themselves come from the world of inland waterway transportation. They understand the challenges skippers, shipping companies and authorities are facing. Uncertain data on water levels, demands for more sustainability, the transportation sector is under pressure. CoVadem believes the whole sector will benefit from innovative technological solutions. The future lies in smart shipping, using insightful data and operating with based on the ever increasing availability of historical operational data. Not only the inland navigation sector will benefit from this, also water management, maintenance companies and society as a whole.
Our Vision
A profitable, clean, safe and efficient use of the waterways, it can be done! Together with the inland waterway sector, CoVadem is working on modern technological solutions. Look differently at how we use the inland waterways, and use the opportunities electronic data can give us. Use software which is of direct benefit to its users.
